Production Manager

9 month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Appetite Media makes popular TV and Digital content that entertains, inspires and challenges. With recent credits including “Donal’s Family Kitchen”, Nico Reynolds “All Fired Up”, “Mark Moriarty: Off Duty Chef”, “Donal’s Irish Adventure”, “The Shared Table” and “Battle of the Food Trucks”, we’ve had a busy 2022 and 2023 is already looking up! Our high-end Fact Ent formats are on air in over 50 countries.

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager on a FTC (Maternity Cover) to join our small (but perfectly formed) team. The right candidate must be confident working across a range of different projects both TV and digital. We’re looking for a proactive and approachable team player.

The ideal candidate should have:

Minimum 2 years experience working in a similar role in the television industry  

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Experience with budgeting and scheduling

A strong understanding of post-production workflows

Core Responsibilities:

Pre Production:

  • Liaising with producers and devising Filming schedules,

  • Devising and overseeing Post Production schedules, drafting Call Sheets and Risk Assessments

  • Drafting and reconciling budgets with our MD

  • Filming Logistics including booking accommodation,

  • Recruiting and booking in crew and talent.

Production:

  • Key Point of contact on location for talent and crew. Organising catering and ensuring adequate crew booked in.

  • Crewing up, booking freelancers and following up on references.

Post Production:

  • Devising realistic post-production schedules and keeping tasks moving and on time.

  • Booking and liaising with third parties i.e Freelancers, Post Production Houses, Distributors and Legal.

  • Collating all necessary documentation for broadcasters and distributors, and updating Instagram.

  • Key contact with exec regarding additional content from sponsors from pre to post-production.

Working hours are Monday-Friday 0930-1730 with some flexibility required on shoot days.

Hybrid working from home/in-office work week available.
